Some required qualifications include:
* Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in NYS.
* Eligible for NY Licensure

Some of the job responsibilities include:

· Assisting with patient exams

· Setting up for internal medicine procedures

· Blood pressure monitoring

· Admitting, and discharging patients

· Blood draws

· IV catheter placements

· Cystocentesis

· Prep and monitoring for anesthetic procedures

· High volume of client communication

· Hospitalization responsibilities and other duties as needed to ensure the highest quality of patient care and comfort.

In order to be successful in this position you must:
* Have the ability to multitask in a face-paced environment.
* Have high attention to detail.
* Excellent communication with DVMs and other team members.
* Eager to expand skill set and mentor LVTs and Veterinary Assistants
* Confidence to advocate for patients’ needs and suggest alternatives.
