Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Senior Automation Engineer with a unique blend of technical expertise and account management skills to join our team. In this role, you will lead automation projects from concept to implementation while also serving as the primary point of contact for key clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, interact with clients, and drive business growth while enjoying a hybrid work arrangement with flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days per week. Ideally you will be a seller doer with extensive experience in a client facing setting the role. The role will be 75% technical, 25% client facing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions for industrial and commercial projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for key client accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships through regular communication, project updates, and addressing client needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines, and present technical solutions to clients.
  • Oversee project execution, including resource allocation, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure successful project delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the installation, commissioning, and startup phases of automation systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to automation and control systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on industrial automation and control systems.
  • Strong technical proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, DCS systems, and industrial communication protocols.
  • DCS hands on configuration
  • Oil and Gas experience
  • Experience in sales/BD/account management
  • DeltaV or Honeywell TDC/Experion experience
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are desirable.
