Responsibilities:

  1. Bilingual Expertise: Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms, specializing in addressing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in both English and Spanish, catering to the unique linguistic needs of New Mexico's population.

  2. Customized Treatment Plans: Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs, cultural considerations, and bilingual communication challenges. Focus areas include articulation, language development, fluency enhancement, and swallowing function improvement.

  3. Innovative Teletherapy: Utilize cutting-edge teletherapy tools and resources to create engaging and effective therapy experiences. Maintain high standards of clinical excellence and client satisfaction while adapting techniques for remote delivery.

  4. Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Regularly monitor client progress, adjust treatment strategies as necessary, and maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Adhere to regulatory standards and best practices in tele practice.

  5. Professional Development: Stay current with advances in bilingual speech-language pathology through continuous learning opportunities, participation in professional conferences, and collaboration with peers. Contribute to the enhancement of teletherapy practices and cultural competence within the field.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Mexico.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances relevant to New Mexico's diverse communities.
  • Previous experience in speech-language pathology, with teletherapy experience highly valued.
  • Proficiency in telehealth platforms and digital tools for effective remote therapy delivery.
