We are seeking an experienced Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) with a strong background in leading SAP S/4HANA implementations within the pharmaceutical industry. The interim CIO will play a critical role in overseeing our IT operations, driving the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA, and ensuring that our technology infrastructure aligns with our business goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Provide strategic leadership and vision for the IT department, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.
    • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to support the pharmaceutical enterprise's goals.
  • SAP S/4HANA Implementation:
    • Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP S/4HANA with existing systems and processes.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery within scope and schedule.
  • IT Operations and Management:
    • Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure.
    • Manage IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly those relevant to the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with executive leadership, business units, and external partners to understand and address technology needs and challenges.
    • Communicate IT strategy, initiatives, and project status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Mentor and lead the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CIO or similar executive role in a pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Extensive experience leading SAP S/4HANA implementations, with a deep understanding of the system's capabilities and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and validation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale IT projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive innovation and change.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in SAP S/4HANA or related modules.
  • Experience with GxP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry.
