The AI Innovation Engineer will design and implement machine learning (ML) models to address business challenges and develop innovative solutions. This role involves working with large, complex datasets, applying various machine learning algorithms, and deploying AI models into production environments. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data quality and operational efficiency, continuously monitoring and optimizing the performance of machine learning models.
Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
- Assists in the implementation of artificial intelligence-powered services in the cloud and on-premise
- Solves business or research problems using natural language processing (NLP), image recognition or text recognition
- Reviews relationships, insights, and inconsistencies in vast and highly variable data sets
- Staying updated with the latest trends in machine learning and incorporating them into system designs
- Implements appropriate metrics to track the performance of machine learning models
- Collaborates with data engineers and architects to improve data quality, design, and implementation
- Develops or assists in developing a framework to assess and evaluate commercially available AI solutions
- Provides training on AI tools and complex concepts
- Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Data/Computer Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure, Data Science, or AI (e.g., Applied Data Science) are highly desirable and preferred
Professional Experience:
- Experience with predictive and automation tools
- Prior experience with large-scale data repositories and cloud infrastructure/services (Azure preferred)
- Experience analyzing large and/or complex data sets
- Experience in designing and implementing machine learning solutions
- Proven experience in deploying machine learning models at scale
- Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their functions
- Working knowledge of AI concepts and new techniques
- Strong skills in data analysis and ML model building and implementation
- Experience working with sensitive information
- Strong communication skills to translate complex ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Experience with Enterprise Relational Database Systems
- Proficient in programming languages like SQL, R, and Python
- Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau and Power BI
- Technical proficiency in database design, data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Hands on experience working on and creating AI focused models
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to interact with constituents across organization levels.
