YMCA Storer Camps offers educational programs, character development and team building services to youth and adults through our three core programs: Outdoor Environmental Education, Summer Overnight Camp, and Specialty Programs & Group Retreats. Located in southeast Michigan on 1,200 acres surrounding Stony Lake, our 15 unique ecosystems provide a natural learning environment for campers, students, teachers and families year round.
Job Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:
To lend support to the entire Summer Camp staff and structure.To participate in the general planning and delivery of the summer camp program. To ensure the health and well-being of each camper.
Qualifications
Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Coordinate transportation for staff into town for basic errands during time off periods.
•Schedule recreational activities both on- and off-site for staff during time off periods.
•Transport staff to and from transportations services such as airports, train stations and bus stations during Summer Camp arrival and departure.
•Communicate with village leaders and kitchen staff to ensure that food is delivered to the necessary locations as needed.
•Create and implement staff motivation system throughout entire Summer Camp season.
•Communicate with different camp directors and village leaders to assist in setup and running of camp programs.
•Organize, participate in, supervise and implement recreational activities, special events and evening programs.
•Assist with check-in and check-out procedures
•Provide support and be a role model to all campers and staff.
•Interpret and enforce safety and health regulations.
•Follow all camp policies, rules and regulations.
•Assist with cabin coverage responsibilities, as needed.
•Participate in evening programs and activities.
