Accounts Payable Representative

As an Accounts Payable Representative, you will be a key part of the Accounts Payable and Receivable department, supporting various teams across the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong communication skills to ensure smooth financial operations.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Representative
Location: Onsite for the first few weeks, then predominantly remote with occasional visits to the office in Sycamore, IL
Pay Range: up to $24/hr
What's the Job?
- Maintain accurate client files and recommend improvements to invoicing and collection processes.
- Monitor invoice processing and ensure timely payments to vendors and collections from clients.
- Review client documentation for proper system setup and compliance with accounting procedures.
- Ensure proper recordkeeping for purchases to support tax preparation and audits.
- Train and guide team members and provide assistance as needed.
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or AP/AR
- High School diploma or GED (Associate's degree in a related field preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using accounting software systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
