PRIMARY FUNCTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Continuous Process Improvement / Training Manager. This candidate will execute the development, implementation, and sustainment of all training within our organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, assessing training needs, identifying training plans, and the enhancement of employee skills and performance within our organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Identify training gaps and create training material to aid in higher productivity amongst the team and ensure compliance.
  • Research and identify future training needs and build the appropriate curriculum to facilitate the training.
  • Lead programs and aid team members that transition to new areas to ensure proper training.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to all parties to ensure all needs are met.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and initial training to successfully transition incumbent employees.
  • Resolving specific problems by tailoring training programs as needed.
  • Monitor training status in all required systems to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure training materials are strategically aligned with business requirements and goals.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to analyze data, identify root causes of issues, and implement sustainable solutions for process improvement. Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics and warehouse operations to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Implement best practices in logistics and warehouse management to streamline operations.
  • Teach training methods and skills to all supervisors and managers.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and leaders to ensure continuous improvement and meet objectives.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and provide required administrative support.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • In-depth knowledge of the logistics industry and best practices.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external customers to achieve common goals.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt with proven experience in process improvement methodologies and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Education, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combined experience/education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in logistics and training development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
  • Must possess creative thinking and innovation skills.
