Procurement Manager

LINE-X is looking for a Procurement Manager to join it growing team in Charlotte, NC This individual will be responsible for contributing to the creation of LINE-X procurement processes and systems that create a revenue and profit stream for the company, deliver compelling savings, and provide strong service levels to the Franchisees. This role exists to create and maintain value through internal stakeholder collaboration, supply base optimization and leverage, competitive sourcing, skilled negotiation, and effective controls and processes, thereby achieving maximum total value for LINE-X.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new or improve existing processes for all things procurement including strategic sourcing, transactional procurement, demand and supply planning, transportation and logistics, warehouse management, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Participate in the creation of a professional procurement organization with supporting systems.
  • Build and negotiate productive relationships with the vendors/suppliers/partners of LINE-X to deliver significant cost advantages and top-shelf service levels to the Franchisees.
  • Effectively interface with broader IXS supply chain organization, proactively manage direct and indirect spend to keep costs low and supply uninterrupted.
  • Evaluate and recommend opportunities to ensure that the desired business results are achieved based on best total value (savings, quality, delivery, etc.)
  • Compile, analyze, and present data to influence decision making across the business
  • Analyze, review, and finalize sourcing decisions based on RFx process outcomes, and negotiate regional/national/global agreements to ensure that the selection of suppliers meets all of LINE-X’s requirements.
  • Serve as liaison between Legal and Suppliers to speed the agreement process, protect the best interests of LINE-X, and ensure successful and timely contract completion.
  • Follow-up routinely to the accuracy, direction, and completion of project objectives with business owners to ensure process efficiency. Maintain open lines of communication with all concerned parties related to sourcing activities. 
  • Perform periodic Supplier Performance Reviews to communicate actual and perceived performance issues/concerns with Suppliers Continuously develop procurement skills and knowledge of supply base through research, due diligence, training, benchmarking, and other means.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced Degree in Supply Chain Management (or CIPS, CSCP, CPP, CMA, CPSM Certifications) preferred
  • 5+ years of related professional experience
  • 7+ years of related professional experience with management experience
  • Direct/Indirect procurement experience across vendor management and negotiations, direct sourcing of product, and management of supply chains (from raw materials to finished goods).
  • Demonstrated data analytics, data mining, and ability to translate into actionable plans.
  • Contract negotiations experience desirable (knowledge of legal terms/concepts is a plus).
  • Experience in developing category/commodity sourcing strategies is a plus.
