Technical Business Analyst | Contract-to- Hire | Hybrid: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Optomi in partnership with a multi-national restaurant chain, is seeking a Technical Business Analyst, for immediate consideration The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible to collect, document, and maintain the authoritative list of requirements for all development efforts. The position is accountable for the functional design and adherence to corporate software development methodologies, as well as coordination across all technical resources throughout the lifecycle of a software development project. Secondary responsibilities include creation and maintenance of various types of documents, testing support and assisting in delivery activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Management: Collect, document, and maintain a comprehensive list of requirements for all development efforts.
  • Functional Design: Ensure adherence to corporate software development methodologies and oversee the functional design of software solutions.
  • Coordination: Act as a central point of contact, coordinating with technical resources across the entire lifecycle of software development projects.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain various project-related documents that support development efforts.
  • Testing Support: Provide essential support for testing activities to ensure software quality and functionality.
  • Delivery Assistance: Assist in various delivery activities, including the deployment and implementation of software solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Software Development or QA Experience: At least three years of experience in large-scale system implementation efforts, with a preference for familiarity with a standard software development lifecycle approach such as Scrum.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling and mapping, methodology development, and data modeling.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Procedural Skills: The ability to create systematic and manual operations procedures using both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated effectiveness in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments, as software development projects are often dynamic and evolving.
  • Facilitation and Management: Strong facilitation skills and excellent organization and management abilities for leading discussions and meetings.
  • Knowledge: An extensive understanding of industry-standard development methodologies and technologies, as well as staying updated on the latest trends and best practices in software development.
