Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes' luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Our two campuses are among the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet combined.

Essential Functions:

  • Support investigations and evaluations (noise, chassis, interior topics)
  • Support new model launch, including issue tracking
  • Technical project support (NVH measurements, workshop organization)
  • Preparation of project documents (Excel sheets, PowerPoint presentations etc.)
  • Preparation of vehicles: communication with several departments and organization of transportation
  • Static and dynamic testing
Other Regular Daily Tasks:
  • Lead easy investigation, support in more difficult ones
  • Get support from engineers of different teams to find the root cause
  • Research on production to find differences to vehicle on hand
  • NHV measurements, dynamic topics investigation and issue tracking
  • AK Noise support
  • Documenting daily meetings
  • Organize and keep track if dynamic investigation and noise tracking sheet
Qualifikationen QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position

Education:
Student in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
  • Fluent in English (oral/written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Preferred automotive knowledge
  • Driver's license is required
Preferred Skills:
  • Team oriented
  • Good verbal communication skills and self-reliant
  • Automotive knowledge
Preferred Start Date:
  • February 2025

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree
  • Studies outside of the U.S.A
  • A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
  • Available for a minimum of 6 months
