Infrastructure and IT Security Supervisor Houston, Texas 77079
OBJECTIVE
Responsible for managing the overall day-to-day IT operations to ensure computing infrastructure is online and fully operational, improving infrastructure costs, performance, and end-user satisfaction. Provide leadership in the planning, strategy, and management of computer architecture and production support, including computer rooms, servers, operative and administrative systems, websites, database administration, data backup/recovery, network, and telecommunication operations, complying with established cybersecurity schemes, SLAs, and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(include the following, other duties may be assigned)
Review the Service Requests and incidents related to the infrastructure and applications assigned to the Coordination to troubleshoot, analyze, and solve them along with the Coordinations team, restoring the service of such systems; This includes all the activities needed to do so, such as planning, installing, configuring, and rolling out into production the solutions needed
Evaluate new infrastructure needs in conjunction with the Information Technology Manager (ITM) and the Coordinations team to determine the impact on the existing processes and the complexity to implement them, their feasibility, research available alternatives, the time required for implementation, and their compatibility with current infrastructure and systems; Depending on all these factors, a maintenance task, a short or long-term project will be programmed to be executed according to the business priorities
Research and evaluate new technologies to improve corporate cybersecurity, including monitoring, prevention, risk mitigation and threat countermeasures systems for the corporate networks, servers, software, hardware, digital services, and communication equipment
Supervise and monitor the services provided by the colocation, where all the corporate infrastructure is operating, take appropriate actions to ensure its continuous operation
Manage and establish priorities in conjunction with the ITM, for the maintenance, design, implementation, and analysis of infrastructure systems including LANs, WLANs, WANs, Internet access, Cybersecurity systems, administrative systems, data backup/recovery, cloud infrastructure and in general, IT infrastructure and telecommunications
Determine the feasibility, design, document and execute the project plans (including milestones and resource allocation) to implement new infrastructure or update/upgrade the existing one; Coordinate the project team associated to such plans to ensure that the projects are performed within budget and schedule; If needed, will also participate in the implementation and configuration of the solution as well as all documentation work related to the project
When external consultancy is needed to acquire new infrastructure, perform a maintenance, execute a project, or assist with project related activities, lead the acquisition or contracting process and coordinate the external consultants to perform the activities related to the required work
Coordinate and participate in the creation of technical and business documentation, including the design specifications, user manuals, guides, use cases, flowcharts and all the documentation needed to execute a project
Conduct research and recommend changes in services, products, protocols, and standards to support development efforts and infrastructure procurement
Measure and maintain systems availability within the negotiated SLAs; Provide statistical information to measure the systems availability
Ensure apt security levels on the network, infrastructure and servers are maintained by mitigating, monitoring, and managing infrastructure related risks
Coordinate IT asset management practice so all the systems, infrastructure and related maintenance contracts in the company are managed accordingly
Assist the ITM in the strategy, plans, procedures, policies and standards definition and documentation

REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
A certificate as Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute is desirable
A certificate as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Management (CISM) is desirable
Years of Experience:
Minimum five years of experience in infrastructure and/or public cloud infrastructure and platforms administration
Required experience in project management and managing people
Travel Requirements:
N/A
Language:
Fluent in English and Spanish
Special Requirements:
Experience with server management, storage management, licensing, IT help desk, application support, network and telecommunications management, IT asset management, monitoring and maintenance
Desirable experience with cybersecurity management
Computer Skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Outlook
