This Activity Director position is with our Rumford Community Home Long Term Care Facility in Rumford, Maine. To plan, organize, develop an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. REQUIREMENTS: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education. Possess a certificate of completion of the state approved Activity Coordinators course or willingness to take the next available course offered after employment. Must possess current, valid driver’s license. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients/residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must be willing to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
