The Lifestyle Director is responsible for ensuring a positive and memorable living experience for residents at On Top of the World Communities. This role involves overseeing various aspects of resident life, including amenities management, program quality, and facility scheduling. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for creating exceptional experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily operation and budgets for Sidney Colen & Associates (SCA)
  • Responsible for providing direction and focus to all lifestyle components of the community designed to enrich the quality of life and enhance the vibrancy of the community for residents.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement programs, classes, and special community-wide events.
  • Provide staff direction on mission development and its relation to program development, delivery, and Board directed budget goals.
  • Develop and manage Lifestyle budget providing recommendations to the Association Finance Committee.
  • Work with lifestyle team coordinators to develop processes to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality programs.
  • Monitor trends in lifestyle programming to help motivate team coordinators to create diversity in program offerings
  • Work with the Resident committees to review room usage to mainstream and maximize program space availability
  • Monitor and analyze the customer experience to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to exceed resident expectation
  • Leverage technology to increase efficiency and enhance the resident experience
  • Oversee the manager of resident activities, events, and programs, including facility scheduling, event setup, resident trips, clubs, and annual club meetings
  • Oversee the fitness directors, including fitness centers, group exercise programs, credentialing, personal training, and other fitness-related initiatives
  • Collaborates with the Director of Circle Square Cultural Center within On Top of the World Communities. This role involves curating and producing a diverse range of cultural events, including concerts, art exhibits, and educational programs, to enrich the lives of residents and visitors
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures for the significant operations of the company, coordinating this process in conjunction with other managers and the Chief Operating Officer
  • Develops budgets in cooperation with various department supervisors
  • Works with theAssociation Manager to respond to resident service concerns and resident correspondence within the guidelines of the Association Agreement
  • Works with department supervisors to assemble and analyze contract bids and submits recommendations to management for approval
  • Plans, develops, and implements departmental policies and goals
  • Directly supervises designated employees, including interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, counseling, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities by company policies and applicable laws
  • Performs all duties in adherence to Company standards
  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of proven experience in a leadership role
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English and have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of homeowners associations
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven customer service (internal and external) and interpersonal skills
