We invite you to learn more about the Hagie Employee Experience.Job DescriptionHagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our Manufacturing Engineering team as a Manufacturing Engineer - Weld in Clarion, IA. This position plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operates in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of limited scope and responsibility; work plans and decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel and contractors.Essential Functions:Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.Develops and implements plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System. Designs operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.Participates in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency.Implements new manufacturing processes and technology.Support shop floor to address safety and ergonomics issues.Supports new product development as needed.QualificationsBackground in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.). - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.Preferred candidates will have knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, weld fixture tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.Understands the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP). - Has a general understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.Has experience in making quality, efficiency, and safety improvements.Education:Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline. - University Degree (4 years)Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
