Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree and/or advanced degrees in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field (preferred);
  2. Minimum 5 years working with VMWare technologies;
  3. Minimum of 5 years in the capacity of System Engineer over Microsoft server systems;
  4. Minimum 5 years of experience designing, building, securing and managing virtualization technologies based on the VMWare stack (ESXi, vCenter);
  5. Experience working with vSAN and NSX;
  6. Minimum of 7 years of systems analysis; and
  7. Minimum of 5 years experience working with storage technologies.

Proficiencies:

  1. Ability to manage enterprise wide technology infrastructure;

  8. Demonstrated advanced knowledge in IP networks (LAN / WAN, MPLS, VPN, VLAN, WiFi) design, engineering and management;
  9. Expert proficiency in network and storage design and maintenance (SAN - Storage Area Network, NAS - Network Attached Storage);
  10. Expert proficiency in a variety of systems, servers and protocols (VMware, Windows Server, TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory);
  11. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Server & third party software patch management;
  12. Advanced knowledge of PowerShell development for system utilities, automation and administration;
  13. Advanced knowledge of monitoring solutions (Orion, Splunk, vRealize Suite/Aria Operations);
  14. Advanced knowledge of Enterprise backup software; and
  15. Demonstrated advanced knowledge in cyber risk and system hardening technics.

The Senior Systems Engineer will:

  1. Design, implement and manage Firm systems including networks, storage, Exchange, physical and virtual servers, Active Directory and Group Policy, Certificate Services, authentication systems, and remote access and mobility systems;
  2. Administer and support cloud-based systems and related services (e.g Azure, Office365, AWS);
  3. Oversee and ensure the optimal performance of systems;
  4. Perform frequent and long-term maintenance in addition to management of user facing tasks;
  5. Provide expert level support through escalated technical support;
  6. Acts as mentor to other IT internal team members in the areas of network and system operations across the Firm;
  7. Prepare and distribute technical documentation for all assigned systems and projects involving processes, procedures, troubleshooting guides, training and change management logs;
  8. Establish and maintain relationships with IT external customers, vendors and partners;
  9. Participate in on-call rotation;
