Hay Creek Hotels is actively searching for organized, professional, and friendly morning Host/Hostess to join our opening Food and Beverage team of hospitality professionals at the new Embers Hotel.

Tucked in the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, The Embers Hotel will offer 36 guest rooms and suites with full-service restaurant and al fresco dining patio. Managed by Hay Creek Hotels, this new-build boutique location will embody a fireside retreat with 4-star service in an approachable, natural setting. The new resort is projected to open in early spring 2024.

Full-time and part-time positions available for daytime and evening shifts including weekends.

$15 per hour

Job Summary:
  • Impart to the customer warmth andgraciousness, much as you would give a guest in your own home.
  • In conjunction with Restaurant General Manager and Supervisors manage all reservations through bookingsystem. Efficiently manage seating times and rotations to maximize table turnsand provide service staff with fair, consistent work flow.
  • Greet, direct, seat, and tend to food and beverage guests, including watering, passing out menus, replenishing coffee, replacing silverware, and other service needs based on HCH service standards.
  • Assist Dining Room Attendants and Servers as needed, including busing and cleaning tables, setting tables, and running food.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with menu items, promotions offered, hotel offerings, and related materials.
  • Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly. Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work place.

Experience and Skills
  • 16+ years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills,
  • Must feel comfortable with technology. Working knowledge of Open Table a plus.
  • Restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate smoothly under pressure and stress.
  • Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days.
