Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the uploading and putaway of inbound shipments.
  • Supervise and coordinate the pickng, counting, and loading of outbound shipments.
  • Ensure the employees are operating material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Establish and execute work processes that ensure KPI's (key performance indicators) are met or exceeded.
  • Establish weekly work schedules for receiving, picking, and loading personnel and ensure that the jobs are completed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control procedures to ensure proper storage and rotation of product.
  • Ensure optimum space utilization.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work environment.
  • Maintain an operation actively promotes the highest possible level of human safety.
  • Supervise employee's within the parameters of company policies. Maintain proper documentation relating to work rules, safety, absentessism, discipline, and performance reviews.
  • Manage material and labor resources to maintain an efficient productive work force.
  • Devlop a solid understanding of the information system (SAP)
  • Maintain good working relationships with QA, transportation, accounting, production, customer service and other corporate personnel.
  • Recommend and propose capital projects.
  • Communicate, collaborate and deploy labor daily with off-shift counterpart.
  • Participate and/or lead a team in our EHS program
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and prodcedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communnicate effectively.
  • Ability to handle basic math.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standarization exists.
  • Ability to manage a diverse team of personalities.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work oevertime or weekends when required.
  • Must be able to pass a forklift certification.
