**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a seasoned data science professional to join Ally cards credit risk team. You will own credit strategies for new credit card account originations and directly impact balance sheet profitability. This is an opportunity to join a talented, experienced strategy team driving Ally cards growth.

Ally work locations for this role are either Wilmington DE or Lewisville TX, Hybrid schedule 3 days in office and 2 from home.

**The Work Itself**

* Design and implement credit strategies to fuel growth on current and emerging marketing platforms

* Conceptualize, socialize and launch foundational tests that will support future growth in new accounts and exposure granted by Ally Card

* Develop deep understanding of historical testing results and bureau performance data to shape strategic recommendations and prioritize learning opportunities through internal tests

* Bring strategies to life by owning end to end collaboration across teams including Marketing, Operations & Compliance

* Apply Ally Cards Machine Learning model suite to credit strategies, including implementation

* Maintain close integration with portfolio strategy counterparts to ensure a tight feedback loop across Acquisition and Portfolio Valuations and Strategies.

**The Skills You Bring**

Required Qualifications

* 7+ years of experience working directly hands-on with large datasets, quantifying P&L impacts, and translating that into strategic credit risk recommendations

* Understanding and experience with unsecured consumer lending

* High degree of expertise with SQL and Python for Data Science

* Ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups while balancing speed to market

* Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and solve problems dynamically.

* Self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended problem solving by demonstrating structured and critical thinking ability.

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelors degree (or above) or equivalent work experience

* Credit risk experience in the credit card industry

* Experience with data science in modern cloud platforms
