This position analyzes customer needs and seeks solutions to customer design problems in order to integrate Company products into customers' systems or subsystems. Primary purpose is to apply current products to increase market penetration. Under supervision, performs analysis, implementation, testing, and documentation using application design documents and requirements specifications. Local travel required within the region.

In this role you will

1. Serve as junior project team member for DCS projects.

2. Implement, test and document project applications software using Valmet product tools.

3. Assist in code and test of project custom software.

4. Learn project execution process and procedures including Configuration Management and Quality Assurance procedures.

5. Assist in technical proposal preparation.

6. Interact with customers as required for the project

7. Learn and follow safety and quality policies

8. Perform related duties as assigned

Expectations

1) Bachelor's degree; in job related field or

2) 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training or

3) Equivalent combination of education and experience

4) PLC Programming

Knowledge Preferred:

Familiarity with Process instrumentation, controls, PLC, and automation practices.

Experience with common programming languages and structures

To be successful in this role, you must be electro-mechanically inclined, self-guided, and have a strong work ethic. Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant environment.
