Momofuku was founded by chef David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City. Credited with the rise of contemporary Asian-American cuisine by the New York Times and named the most important restaurant in America by Bon Apptit magazine, Momofuku has restaurants in the United States and Canada as well as a line of restaurant-grade products for home cooks.

**About Momofuku Noodle Bar Uptown**

Founded by Chef David Chang, Momofuku Noodle Bar first opened in New York Citys East Village in 2004. At this second location in The Shops at Columbus Circle, the menu includes ramen, buns, and a roster of dishes that change with the seasons. It also features a full bar.

Momofuku **Backs Servers** are the representatives of the restaurant to guests. Bartenders are responsible for guiding guests through the Momofuku experience. Momofuku **Back Servers** are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful while upholding company standards and values in a busy, fast paced environment.

**Responsibilities**

* Oversee and guide guests complete dining, bar, and restaurant experience

* Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times

* Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service

* Ensure proper table maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, etc.

* Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction

* Maintain the cleanliness of bar tools and bar areas

* Ensure guests are charged correctly and receive proof of payment in a timely manner

* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of service tools and service areas

* Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary

* Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service

* Engage management for any guest issue or complaint

* Stocking and preparing bar service related items

* Uphold Momofuku standards of quality when assembling alcoholic beverages for guests

* Adhere to grooming and dress code standards

* Adhere to all company service standards and protocols

* Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing

* Ring in take-out/to-go orders

* Take payment for to-go orders

* Distribute take-out/to-go order to the customer

**Skills & Requirements**

* Minimum 2 years of serving and bartending experience in high volume environments

* Strong beverage knowledge and a passion for the service industry

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude

* Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback

* Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment

**Physical Demands**

* The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
