Sr. Project Manager (Technology & Vendor Selection

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
· Engage with business sponsors to thoroughly understand their requirements, goals, and challenges, translating them into detailed technology solutions.
· Oversee the entire project lifecycle for technology and product selection initiatives, from requirement gathering and evaluation through to selection and implementation.
· Lead the preparation and execution of Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, ensuring clear, comprehensive, and aligned submissions to vendors.
· Conduct in-depth product and technology evaluations, including cost-benefit analyses, to drive strategic, informed decision-making processes.
· Manage detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial guidelines.
· Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across functional teams, acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
· Serve as the primary liaison for external vendors and internal teams, managing negotiations, contracts, and relationships to foster successful project outcomes.
· Employ project management best practices and methodologies, leveraging tools such as ServiceNow SPM to optimize project execution and reporting.
· Generate and present detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting project progress, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
· Works closely with IT Program Manager for interdependency mapping of features / capabilities that may conflict or be duplicative with other product selection projects.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
· PMP certification required, demonstrating a commitment to the discipline of project management and adherence to best practices.
· A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on technology-related projects.
· Expertise in the RFI and RFP process, showcasing an understanding of procurement and vendor selection.
· Experience working directly with executive leadership, influencing strategic decisions and organizational direction.
· Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a preference for candidates with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) experience.
· Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong collaborations across technical and business teams.
· Demonstrated leadership skills with the experience of leading cross-functional project teams to success.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities and project scopes.
