Serve as a campus-wide resource for consulting and coordinating the setup and catering event needs for SHU departments, staff, and students. Oversee setup operations and logistics required to support event and catering operations. Supervise the event setup team to ensure seamless delivery and excellence in event setup execution for all constituents, i.e., students, faculty, staff, and guests. Oversee the process, communication, and strategies for utilizing the facility and management of the event and catering supply inventory. Institute team goals and objectives to align with the overall mission and values of the university. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Attributes A minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in a related field, three years or a combination of education and experience Detail-oriented and well-developed organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work successfully in a diverse environment Demonstrated proficiency with modern event room management, EMS management system, creating and following floor plans and standard safety protocols. Experience managing set-up operations in a corporate or higher education environment. General knowledge of hospitality, food, and beverage operations Unusual Working Conditions Conference and event hours of operation extend beyond normal SHU office hours. Extra hours or work may be necessary as required by special projects, workload, or deadlines. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
