Under guidance from Audit supervisor/manager, this position will work on audit assignments within the company and in some cases partnering with external auditors. What you do Conduct detailed reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls. Prepare workpapers documenting results of the tests and data analytics performed, and with assistance, write formal audit comments which identify and quantify the impact on business operations. Report opportunities for improved efficiencies and controls to management and make appropriate recommendations. Assist in the coordination and implementation of audit work for the external auditors. Continue to develop professionally through self-study and on-the-job training with an emphasis on preparing for and obtaining professional and industry certifications. Develop knowledge of and ability to apply appropriate auditing techniques and accounting principles. What you bring Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field of study preferred; or combination of relevant work experience with a related associate degree or education in another field of study. Work experience in a professional environment or role of 0-2 years required. Problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and interpersonal skills will be critical to success. An understanding of the Principles of Accounting as well as the need for controls and the importance of ethics in the business environment are advantageous. Knowledge of, experience with, and interest in data analytics are strongly desired. Course work in pursuit of a professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA) desired. Previous audit experience desired but not required.
