Our client is a leading maker of systems and sub-systems technology used in weapons, aircraft, and submarines for defense electronics and aerospace markets. They support many high-performance programs and platforms in every branch of U.S. military, as well as several international defense forces and have a track record of success for being a leading supplier of defense electronics. They are currently looking for a Director of Engineering who will have a broad understanding across thermal management, high speed signaling, systems engineering, qualification, production acceptance testing, and integration. The ideal candidate will have a BSEE, or higher, with 5+ years of experience in a Senior Management or Director level and 15+ years of experience in a solution design organization in defense electronics and/or aerospace. He/she will be responsible for design, development, test, qualification, and production of Defense&Aerospace Modular Open Standard Architecture (MOSA) mainly used in weapons systems. The qualified candidate can come from multiple technology platforms at the component, systems, or sub-systems level as long as they have been in defense and aerospace markets and have proven to be effective leaders. The Director of Engineering will have 3 direct reports with a total of 40-50 reports all in the same location. We are looking for someone who has called upon customers in the defense market. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills. We need someone personable who can be a strong communicator and handle matters calmly and effectively while having a sense of urgency. Must be a US Citizen capable of getting Secret Clearance. Position is 100% onsite. #J-18808-Ljbffr
