Location: Cincinnati, OH
Hybrid Schedule: 1-3 days in office / 2-4 days at home weekly
Job Summary PatientPoint is seeking a strategic thinker and effective communicator to lead data-driven initiatives and advance our organization data IQ as our Director of Analytics. The person filling this roll will have shown the ability to drive work including statistical models, AI/ML work, and creating analytics together via impactful data visualizations to help our business run and grow.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage teams, setting objectives and guiding professional development.
- Partners with stakeholders to understand their data analysis needs and translate them into an analytics roadmap with the analytics product management.
- Mentor manager/senior managers in analytics to create an environment which "makes sense" to our user community as the run and grow our business.
- Integrate Data Literacy into analytics deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal customers to understand short term analytics needs and deliver them within a long-term environment.
- Manage design, deployment, and management of platforms (i.e. Tableau, R/Python, HEX)
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and competitive strategies to continuously improve the team's capabilities and methodologies.
- Partner with
- Data Engineering to ensure data is available for analytics work in a planned manner.
- Product Management to create a backlog for the team.
- Release Management to ensure releases are coordinated and planned.
- Quality Assurance to ensure releases are reliable and supportable.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, providing regular updates on data analytics initiatives and their impact on business goals.
- Ensure data governance and compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.
- Manage budget, resources, and tools necessary for data analysis projects.
- 8+ years of experience in data science
- 4+ years of experience in data visualization
- 4+ years of experience in a management/leadership role
- Proven knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and data mining.
- Strong experience in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc).
- Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, or Snowflake.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Advanced degree in data/analytics related area
- Ability to translate complex technical details into clear business insights.
- Demonstrated effective and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify continuous improvement for data products.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective driver of team towards a common goal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with sales and customer service teams in healthcare
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of data scientists, data analysts, and data visualization engineers.
- Background in consulting or working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Courage to call out issues WITH proposed solutions.
- Sense of urgency to learn and take on new challenges.
