Support from Regional Clinical Resources as well as additional support from fellow DON partners in our Nebraska market.Relocation Assistance may be provided.The primary purpose of this job is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.Responsibilities:Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate departmental staff (management staff only)Provide 24-hour accountability for the Nursing Department in directing and coordinating all activities of nursing servicesMakes rounds to verify clinical compliance including periodic spot checks of resident's conditionCoordinate clinical services to promote standard clinical interventions of resident careTakes corrective action in response to quality of service issuesInvestigate any complaints and concerns as indicatedReview and follow-up on documentation for clinical complianceSupervise all nursing activity within the departmentEnsure coaching and disciplinary actions are provided as indicated within the policies and procedures of the campusEvaluate performance/skills/job knowledge of nursing staffOther duties as assignedSkills:Valid nursing and CPR certificationNebraska (or compact state) RN license is required1 year of DON experience2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)Ability to learn and implement administrative and departmental policies and procedures and carry out job responsibilities in a professional, accurate and conscientious mannerAbility to create and maintain a helpful, understanding and empathetic atmosphere toward the residents and staffAbility to handle confidential information exercise independent judgment and make decisions based on good nursing practice guidelinesApply TodayBack to Jobs
