ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee/management relations that impact the overall employee experience.
  2. Acts as a mediator between employees and managers facilitating good communication and promoting a positive work environment.
  3. Designs and participates in new hire onboarding activities including new hire orientation.
  4. Ensures new hires complete all required training in a timely manner.
  5. Involved in the development and administration of the performance management process.
  6. Conducts full life-cycle investigations timely and consistently including responding to employee grievances, allegations of harassment/sexual harassment and progressive disciplinary actions.
  7. Plans and executes employee appreciation events, employee incentive programs and employee recognition programs recommending changes and improvements as needed.
  8. Researches specific training and employee development needs and makes recommendations for new training programs.
  9. Assists with the administration of workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
  10. Administers various employee and community events.
  11. Works with managers to conduct stay interviews and conducts offboarding/exit interviews.
  12. Ensures all human resources practices and policies are compliant with all state and federal discrimination and employment laws.
  13. Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal skills.
  14. Maintains strict confidentiality.
  15. Performs all responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations and state and federal laws and regulations.
  16. Performs special projects as needed or requested.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience working in HR. Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office Suite or similar. Demonstrated experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or equivalent in experience or education. 3 (three) or more years of HR experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.

REASONING ABILITY:Decisions are limited to within the scope of essential duties.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Must have a valid Colorado Gaming License. An HR related certification is preferred.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with fellow employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion such as frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, standing and primarily sitting for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties may require lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move spa general office supplies and equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people while primarily in an inside office environment, which are frequently loud or containing high noise levels.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:Various general office supplies and equipment, including printers, computers, calculators, staplers, tape, and photocopiers.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$55,000+ annually based on experience
