Title: Corporate SQF & Audit Supervisor, Salaried, Shift not Applicable Req ID: 5203 City, State: Westfield, WI Reports to: Director of FSQA Classification: Exempt Remote: Yes JOB DESCRIPTION Summary: The Corporate SQF & Audit Supervisor is key to maintaining Food Safety and Quality Assurance Management policies and procedures that support manufacturing of wholesome and quality food. The incumbent achieves this through the development of corporate-wide SQF programs and assistance in third-party audits at all facilities. Essential Functions: Develops, implements, reviews, and maintains the Company’s SQF System: Provides independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies and taking appropriate action to ensure its integrity. Works with the SQF Practitioners at each facility to verify and validate internal audit activities as outlined in SQF code. Oversees the development and implementation of Policies and Procedures in accordance with SQF System. Updates documents as needed to comply with SQF codes, customer requirements, and government regulations. Coordinates necessary training and communications to ensure Company compliance of SQF policy and procedure: Assesses training needs, communicates to relevant internal partners all information essential for effective SQF protocol; prepares weekly and monthly FSQA management reviews at the corporate level. Effectively communicates/coordinates follow-up training when deviations from standards or processes occur. Maintains the Company’s HACCP Food Safety System: Conducts annual HACCP reassessments and plan verification together with the HACCP Team. Serves as key partner in audits preparation and follow-up: Assists in all third-party and annual SQF audits to ensure department/company readiness for each; schedules internal and supplier audits; tracks performance indicators; oversees preventative measures and corrective actions related to FSQA nonconformities that require a response. Maintains a clear understanding of customer requirements and assists in completing customer questionnaires. Serves as key player who promotes a positive working environment: Provides backup as needed for team of FSQA Managers, Documentation Specialist, and QA Supervisors. Required Qualifications: Bachelors’ Degree in Food Science or related degree plus three years of Quality Assurance experience in a food processing environment OR 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in food processing environment. Knowledge of USDA regulations, experience implementing Food Safety Systems (HACCP and SQF), and practice in Food Safety Skills (SQF Practitioner training, GMP’s, HACCP certification, CCP’s). Excellent organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail; effective oral and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite: Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must hold a valid driver’s license for travel to remote facilities. Flexible; can adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. Preferred Qualifications: QA experience in a poultry processing environment. Experience with 3rd party food safety audits. Knowledge of SAP ERP system. Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises the Corporate Internal Document Control Specialist and Corporate External Document Control Specialist. Physical Demands: Position will include extensive standing at times, sitting, lifting, wearing factory required equipment while working in production, walking, visual, responding quickly to sounds, and driving. Position Type: This is a salaried exempt position. Travel: Travel to be expected is 25% to our other facilities and/or suppliers.
