A Day in the Life:The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for managing all tax requirements for external reporting and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to create strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.The Impact Youll Make:Prepare and review quarterly and annual global tax provision, including effective tax rate and tax reserve analysis, and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740, US GAAP or other guidanceReview certain annual statutory tax provisions and tax disclosures for the financial statements of foreign subsidiaries as prepared under local GAAPCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and legal teams, to gather necessary financial data and ensure accurate tax reportingManage the consolidation and reconciliation of tax-related data to ensure accurate and timely reportingParticipate in and support SOX controls for income taxesManage the Companys compliance function, including the consolidated US federal income tax return, US international, state and local returns, and certain foreign tax returns.Review federal, state, and local estimated tax payments and extensionsSupport federal, state and foreign tax audits as neededProvision modelling for new tax law changes including but not limited to Pillar 2Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the organization's tax reporting, and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholdersManage external auditor relationship for US GAAP audit of income taxesResearch and document technical tax and tax accounting issuesDrive automation initiatives to increase the efficiency of the tax accounting and compliance process and provide support for various process improvementsActive participation in other tax projectsWho You Are:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax and/or a CPA preferred8+ years of financial reporting experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax departmentTechnical knowledge of U.S. income tax matters, ASC 740 - Income Taxes, U.S. federal and state tax compliance, and relevant industry experienceMust be collaborative and team-oriented personality with the ability to build and foster relationships throughout the organizationExperience managing a positive relationship with external auditors and tax advisors.Strong proficiency in Excel and G suiteExperience working with NetSuite or other ERP systemsExperience working with Alteryx a plusFamiliarity with international tax reportingDetail-oriented, strong analytical skills, and be able to multitask and work independently, with the ability to deliver in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility and adaptability the ability to deal with changing internal and external environmentsWe use Covey as part of our hiring and / or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT.
