The Plant Manager manages the New Port Richey manufacturing plant and oversee manufacturing operations, facilities, manufacturing engineering, and materials management to optimize and increase production and revenue. The Plant Manager provides experienced leadership, coaching, guidance and direction to the Operations Team while championing and managing the conversion to lean manufacturing and engendering an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement. The Plant Manager establishes targets, both financial and non-financial, with clear work plans, and holds managers accountable for achievement.

This position is located onsite (full-time) in New Port Richey, FL. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. US citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage cost, quality, schedule, inventory and health, safety & environmental activities for the location. Ensure the KPIs and key goals are achieved, and that manufacturing capacity meets the sales plan.
  • Ensures inventory and shipping/receiving functions at manufacturing plant is operating at levels that meet customers' needs and established financial benchmarks. Directs activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives necessary for achieving optimum labor, and least amount of overhead and raw material costs. Ensure the shipment goals, business goals, customer requirements and production plans are achieved, and that manufacturing capacity meets the sales plans.
  • Ensure Strategic Sourcing and Materials objectives align with sales and shipment goals, for both short-term and long-term agreements with customers, to assure capacity, manpower and technology are in place to support all requirements.
  • Effectively drive and mentor Danaher Business Systems (DBS), while championing an environment of teamwork and associate engagement
  • Ensure that the production employees are organized, trained, and supervised.
  • Maintain headcount, overtime, factory expenses and fiscal budgets are met as set by annual budgets. Partner with matrix directors/managers for Quality, HR and Finance support.
  • Ensure the correct use of the facility, buildings, machinery, equipment, and company property and consistent with city permits and regulations. Ensure building and property security is maintained. Ensure a safe working environment exists consistent with OSHA and safety equipment is maintained and effectively used.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in business, engineering or other related discipline preferred or comparable work experience.
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience managing a plant or experience leading a business unit of $100M, with a strong emphasis on materials/procurement within a large plant, including demonstrated safety leadership capabilities, knowledge, and experience.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of the inter-relationship between manufacturing, engineering, materials, quality and purchasing with exposure in all of these areas.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal, and team building skills, in addition to being results oriented, creative, and self-motivated.
  • Experience with successful implementation of Continuous Improvements, Lean Manufacturing principles and practices, and have strong understanding CI tools and techniques along with experience of demonstrating sustained results.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Aerospace or Industrial Capital Goods.
