Description
Coordinates and performs a variety of professional accounting duties for area of
assignment. Manages Fleet Department vehicle replacement; prepares and manages fleet
allocations; assists in planning, developing and administering departmental budget. Generates and prepares various types of financial records, statements and reports; coordinates with financial services providers; assists with audit processes.
Examples of Duties
Reconciles monthly expenditure reports; compiles, analyzes, and/or computes numerical data; prepares/maintains spreadsheets. Prepare vehicle lease allocation and assist in other fleet allocation numbers which require monitoring and/or special reporting requirements. Oversees city vehicle replacement program; coordinates with departmental staff and other City departments regarding various administrative and/or operational matters. Identifies and corrects data discrepancies to provide accurate records. Generates and reconciles various types of vehicle management reports; submits weekly and monthly reports. Generates and provides various types of financial reports as required. Develop and manage vehicle replacement data; meeting with departments on recurring schedule to prepare and submit vehicle replacement plan. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field, and three years accounting experience, including one year supervisory experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment. Subject to sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting of objects up to 10 pounds. Exposure to potentially irate members of the public is involved.
