Leer's continuous improvement/lean culture focuses on SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost) principles.Responsibilities Include:Participate and lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.Research, identify, and propose new capital equipment and/or manufacturing processes that enhance productivity, taking into consideration the use of the latest technology and industry best practices. Collaborate with Design Engineering and make recommendations regarding the design and assembly of new and existing products to ensure optimum 'design for manufacture'. Be aware of and investigate environmental and safety hazards and work as part of a team to implement corrective action.Lead assigned facilities and capital improvement projects.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications: Bachelor of Science in engineering related field or equivalent experience.2-3 years process improvement related experience.A working knowledge of common manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, stampings, aluminum and steel weldments, precision machined components, etc.Must be able to work on multiple projects under time restrictions in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated engineering project management and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms with suppliers, customers, and employees within the organization.Proficiency with 2D and/or 3D CAD. AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience preferred.Available to travel, including internationally up to 10%.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.Must have excellent interpersonal skills.Lean Manufacturing experience and knowledge.Must be results driven and self-motivated with a desire to achieve.
