JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary purpose:

In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or tracking and executing schedules for active projects in progress. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepares and manages schedule data for project development and execution, and business development efforts.
  • Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
  • Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
  • Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
  • Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
  • Monitors and validates project schedules and provides critical activities assessments as required by the project team
  • Assists with schedule recovery plans while working with project execution teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) from an accredited institution in Business, Engineering or rellated discipline or nine to fifteen (9-15) years of industry experience equivalent to education.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

  • Five to Eight (5-8) years of relevant work experience
  • Strong proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Competencies, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven management and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete multiple issues under strict deadlines and willingness to delegate to and mentor employees.
  • Strong proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.
  • Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
  • Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets; position will be filled depending on qualifications, experience and skill sets of the successful candidate.

Working Conditions:

  • Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
