At New Balance, We Got Now. JOB MISSION: The Senior Internal Auditor role will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the global internal audit plan. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, this candidate, through their knowledge of a risk-based audit methodology combined with a collaborative style, will assess the governance, risk and compliance environments of the Company and help drive quantifiable improvements to the overall internal control structure and risk management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of audits from planning through reporting and will work closely across all levels of management to communicate audit objectives, areas for improvement and overall value derived through the audit process. The Senior Internal Auditor will also participate in a variety of ad-hoc special projects and provide consultative services to process owners and key management leaders as needed. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Using a proactive approach and with a keen understanding of the business, work to implement and execute the New Balance risk-based audit plan. Develop and execute risk-based audit programs including planning and scoping, communicating findings in a clear and timely manner, writing audit reports that are meaningful and comprehensive, working with management to develop action plans to remediate findings and address opportunities for improvement, and tracking the implementation and effectiveness of action plans through completion. Develop meaningful recommendations for management to improve the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of controls and operations. Provide guidance and support to business area leaders as they address audit findings, control deficiencies or make significant process changes (e.g., implementation of new systems, etc.). Participate in ad-hoc operational and financial projects requested by the Senior Director, Risk Management, members of the senior leadership team and the Audit Committee. Participate in the preparation of Audit Committee communications. Perform effective risk and control assessments. Partner cross-functionally to create control and process improvements. Establish and maintain strong relationships across the business. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: 3+ years of relevant audit experience. Excellent verbal, written and negotiation skills and the ability to interact with various levels within the organization. Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving and growing global environment. Strong quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills, with experience in data analytics. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of entity level, process, IT General and application controls. Effective relationship building and project management skills.
