JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox Sports Media Group (FSMG) is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to work in the general accounting group. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for network closing/accounting, financial consolidation and reporting, general ledger maintenance, rights and production accounting processes, bank reconciliations, and audits. The Senior Financial Analyst assists in projects such as policies and procedures documentation and ad-hoc reporting. The role will have the opportunity to collaborate with finance team members across various businesses in the company.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly journal entries related to network activities, including revenue, accruals, sports rights, and production
- Prepare monthly variance analysis, cash flows, and account reconciliations promptly
- Prepare quarterly Corporate financial reporting and analytics
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Interact directly with the Finance group to obtain proposed journal entries, resolve unusual items or discrepancies/reclassifications, and ensure all accounting schedules are up to date
- Understand, review, and summarize key business drivers impacting operating performance through the course of financial closes and planning cycles for financial reporting purposes
- Perform procedures to ensure SOX compliance
- Work with various groups (accounts payable, accounts receivable, finance, and payroll) to clear bank reconciliation items promptly
- Assist with internal/external audit requests
- Maintain and enhance standardized accounting policies and procedures
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required
- BA or BS in Accounting
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or reporting
- Strong knowledge of SOX 404 documentation
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Attention to detail and organization
- Quick learner who is both motivated to work independently as well as a team player
- Ability to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines
- Ability to interact with various levels of management
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Knowledge of Workday ERP system
- Sports/Entertainment industry experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $36.00-50.25 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
