A leading, global, manufacturing/CPG company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team and company. The right person will support Operational Analysis, Forecasting and Analysis.
THIS PERSON MUST COME INTO THE OFFICE 3 DAYS A WEEK IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES.
Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for leading financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, in addition to providing key insights to support strategic decision-making. This role collaborates with various department heads and plays a crucial role in Operational financial planning and operational efficiency of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Analysis: Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes, analyzing key business trends and variance explanations.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of corporate annual budgets, regular forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Monitor and analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders, as required.
Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities for cost-saving, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
Scenario Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making. Evaluate potential scenarios and outcomes to guide business strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to provide data-driven insights into business performance, offering recommendations to drive growth.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve FP&A capabilities including system and process enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degrees are a plus.
Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. Familiarity with FP&A software/tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
CFA or MBA is a plus, but not mandatory.
