About the Job

The Customer Service Representative receives and processes orders for our chemical products, manages all customer communication and orders, and acts as a liaison between the sales team and production plants. This position may require being on-call for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on a rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and input all customer orders for plant locations and any related changes or cancellations
  • Utilize order-tracking systems specific to the Chemical Industry
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information, transaction data, and pricing
  • Communicate with production locations and customers
  • Set up and review new accounts and update customer records as appropriate
  • Adheres to ISO requirements as they relate to customer service.
  • Participates in Quality System Training to maintain ISO compliance.
  • Assists with projects as necessary.
You Must Have
  • Proficiency in data entry
  • Excellent computer skills, highly proficient with Outlook and order-entry software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good telephone manners to enhance relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to adapt to change and to function as a team player.
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree in business or related field preferred
  • Two to Five years of office experience.
  • Customer service, call center, or data entry experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on the computer.


Compensation

Southern Ionics offers a competitive base hourly rate with eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and more.
