THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will provide clerical support in the Lottery Call Center to internal teams and assist players, retailers, and PA Lottery staff over the phone and via email. Customer service actions for this position include receiving inquiries, determining the most appropriate response, and responding verbally and in writing to effectively communicate information and solutions. You will perform a variety of clerical duties to assist retailers and adjust lottery records in cases where lottery tickets are lost, stolen, damaged, or unaccounted for. This includes comparing and verifying information, scanning lottery tickets and other documents, entering information into the department's computer systems, composing correspondence, and assisting with outgoing and incoming mail as needed. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Call center experience.
  • Customer service experience.
