Description Project Engineer – Sustaining Engineering - Fire Protection Corporate Engineering Dept. Victaulic -Global HQ - Easton, PA *RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS OFFERED FOR THIS POSITION** Summary: The Project Engineer will work with limited supervision across Victaulic suppression product lines with a focus on proactively addressing short term customer needs, driving growth as part of a customer-focused team that reacts quickly and balances that highly variable need with continuous improvement. The Project Engineer will work on and within the Fire Suppression Technology Team, headquartered in the Easton PA.

This team specializes in Research and Development and works in conjunction with other functional groups within the organization working with Product Managers, Project Management, Applications Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Training. Responsibilities: Executes all phases of product development, Ideation, Investigation, Development, Build and Validation Responsible for developing the project and leading the engineering from initial design to production. Work with projects teams to maintain schedules of time to market, costs, and tooling. Work with Product Management, Regulatory and Sales teams to obtain and or maintain worldwide and agency approvals. Witness testing at worldwide laboratories as part of requirements for completing approvals and listings of new and revised product designs Performs solid modeling designs and evaluates products for stress analysis, fluid flow, strength of materials, metallurgy, static analysis and elements of machine design for designing products. Interprets engineering drawings checking for accuracy, dimensional tolerances and completeness of all design drawings and specification sheets. Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.

Skills Knowledgeable with Fire Protection Systems, Sprinklers, Valves, and hardware Familiar with Fire Protection NFPA codes and Standards as well as Agency Listing Standards, UL, FM, VdS, LPC, etc. Product Development Ability to conduct DOE to solve complex technical problems Attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of drafting and design work Ability to interpret engineer drawings and terminology Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to create technical documents Knowledge of prototyping, testing of devices, and working with machines Prioritize and complete a variety of tasks in a timely manner Strong customer service, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Possesses strong commitment to a team environment while working well with others Knowledge of manufacturing processes include but not limited to machining, die and sand casting, metal stamping and extrusion and application of coatings and finishes Proficient in Microsoft Office, Solid Works, Ansys FEA

and familiarity with Liquid planner project management software and Minitab Software for Data Analysis, Statistical & Process Improvement.

Qualifications 10 + years Engineering Experience in Mechanical Design and/or Related Field 10 + years in Sprinkler System and Standards and Practices Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Related Field
