Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturer, is hiring experienced Project Managers/Engineering Managers to manage key projects and accomplish project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. Working within a strong team, the Project Manager/Engineering Manager will have 2+ years of recent experience large-scale projects, manufacturing, engineering or similar industry experience, and strong communication skills.

This role is an on-site position in Lehigh Valley, PA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office daily, and/or relocate if hired.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the Project Manager/Engineering Manager will:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget ($100K or more)
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience is required.
  • Manufacturing, Engineering of similar industry required.
  • MS Project or similar project management software experience required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the manufacturing environment required.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Project Management Certification or degree (e.g., PMP or equivalent) preferred.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
