Job Description

Supervision of Clinical Engineering Imaging service technicians and performs service work of Imaging Service Technicians. The service technician provides preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration and installation support on various mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic units. The technician interacts
with customers on a daily basis and completes associated administrative tasks as required. Assigned to technically complex equipment and high-risk equipment such as MRI and other Diagnostic Imaging equipment. Provides preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on high-risk critical medical equipment.

Essential Functions:

1.Provides supervisory leadership and direction to Bio-medical Imaging staff and program. Provides technical support for medical imaging equipment.
2. Functions as the primary responsible contact or the Nemours Imaging Team.
3. Supervise repair and maintenance activities performed by the Clinical Engineering Imaging service staff.
4. Provide on site leadership for all components of the medical equipment management program.
5. Participate in the development of departmental and entity performance improvement program.
6. Maximize patient safety by supporting proper use, application, and operational performance of imaging medical equipment.
7. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on imaging and related product lines. This includes: disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating ready for use by using standard and specialized tools by using technical manuals, etc.
8. Troubleshoot, repair or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems components.
9. Perform administrative duties as assigned to ensure effective planning, utilization and required paperwork completion. This includes, but is not limited to: communicating schedule changes to the end users daily; computer synchronization daily; complete service reports and activities after completing a
service event.
10. Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers and managers. Communicate activities, which include scheduling of Preventive Maintenance and estimated time for unscheduled work. Utilize provided product and industry knowledge to assure end users expectations of service are exceeded.
11. Maintains courteous, smart and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors, management and colleagues.

Job Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Similar, plus related experience preferred. High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of five years of experience is an alternative qualification

5 years or more experience preferred of Hospital/Clinic

Imaging equipment PM and Repair.
Experience working under the regulations specific to medical equipment usage and support:

The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, MDH, NFPA-99, FDA, SMDA.
