The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric care, with specific expertise in Federal law enforcement and Occupational Health (OH) issues. This position requires the incumbent to provide expert psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and witness testimony to Federal Occupational Health Services (FOHS) and other Federal government agencies. Specific Tasks: Provide expert advice to FOHS and other Federal government agencies on Occupational Health issues with a psychiatric component. Conduct psychiatric evaluations as requested by FOHS, including assessments related to fitness for duty and reasonable accommodation. Offer professional psychiatric consultations and develop treatment plans for cases involving Federal law enforcement personnel. Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings, providing testimony on psychiatric evaluations and related matters. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex cases involving mental health concerns within the Federal government workforce. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all evaluations, consultations, and communications. Additional Requirements: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex psychiatric information to non-medical personnel. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure. Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards. Location: This position is based within the Federal government sector, with potential travel requirements depending on case needs. Qualifications Education: Medical degree with completed residency in Psychiatry. Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice psychiatry. Experience: At least five (5) years of experience working in the Federal government sector, with a focus on Federal law enforcement. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications, basic computer use, and website navigation. Compensation: Min: $50,000 | Max: $70,000 This position is in the proposal stage; we are waiting to be awarded the project. Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
