About the Opportunity: ? Job Title: Mechanic Welder ? Pay: $24/Hour ? Location: Vadnais Heights, MN ? Schedule: 1st Shift Mon-Fri 5AM-2:30PM or 6AM-3:30PM. Daily functions:
  1. Troubleshoot equipment to evaluate repairs that are needed on concrete pumps/heavy equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems and complete appropriate repairs.
  3. Follow standard assembly procedures to perform rework and repair on manufactured equipment.
  4. Disassemble, measure, reposition and install parts to reassemble unit according to engineering drawings, bills of materials, and standard work instructions as required.
  5. Connect hydraulic lines and fill them with oil in preparation for testing.
  6. Test assembled parts or products to ensure the unit is functioning properly and meets quality specifications.
  7. Follow established safety and environmental procedures.
  8. Welding as part of the production or repair process
  9. Maintain tools and the workspace in good condition.
  10. Maintenance and Service Repair.
  11. May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
Desired qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Formal training beyond high school (certification or associate degree in auto repair), preferred.
  3. 2-4 years experience working with heavy construction equipment preferred.
  4. CDL drivers license with current health card, preferred.
  5. Solid understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas and diesel systems.
  6. Technical knowledge of the equipment and tools is required.
  7. Strong Attention to detail.
  8. Self-starter.
  9. Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  10. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Physical requirements:
  1. Lifting 50lbs.
  2. Standing for long durations of time
  3. Must be able to bend, stoop and crouch.
