Contract Audit Services Senior Auditors

We are seeking highly experienced and driven Contract Audit Services Senior Auditors to join our team. As a Contract Audit Services Senior Auditor, you will partner with client management to resolve audit problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising complex audit and attestation engagements for a variety of clients. You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to staff, and work closely with senior leadership to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform planning, fieldwork and reporting procedures for examinations, performance audits, audits of the Schedule of Costs Incurred, or agreed-upon procedures for contract audit/examination assignments in connection with procurement and contracting activities between the Federal Government and the Contractor.
  • Review standard audit programs and steps, previous work papers, reports, guidance material.
  • Prepare detailed Notice of Findings and Recommendations.
  • Draft audit reports in accordance with applicable standards and agency specific procedures.
  • Maintain audit work papers including the preparation of schedules, summaries, and reconciliations as instructed or appropriate.
  • Perform assigned audit steps such as tests of contractors various transactions to include payroll, material costs, subcontractor costs, etc.
  • Review reports, records, ledgers, and other documents against invoices, receipts, payroll slips, and other source documents. Verify appropriateness of charges for materials and labor and determine that transactions have been properly recorded and are allowable/allocable to the contracts under scope.
  • Prepare working papers and analyzes contractor data using automation tools.
  • Perform detailed review of assigned staff workpapers and provide guidance as needed for the successful completion of the engagements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Contractor personnel during the engagements.
  • Prepare and lead engagement meetings, to include entrance and exit conferences with Client and Contractor personnel.
  • Coordinate with other team members, providing updates on the status of audit assignments, sharing information, and identifying requisite revisions to the program and/or annual team goals.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and working relationships with team members, associates, contractors, and other government personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting from an accredited university.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university in a related field such as business administration, finance, economics, or public administration. 24 semester hours in accounting is preferred, but not required.
  • Atleast two (2)years of experience in contract audit services engagements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • CPA license or eligibility to take the CPA license preferred.
