Hospital Reference Test Clerk

LabCorp is seeking a Hospital Reference Test Clerk to join our hospital support team. This position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to LabCorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system. Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Additional days and hours may be required depending on business needs. Pay Range: $18.29 - $22 per hour All job offers will bebased on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data. Location: 7444 W Alaska Dr. Lakewood, CO The application window will close 12/16/2024 Job Duties/Responsibilities: · Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testing · Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems · Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquires · Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities · Provide support to various areas of the laboratory · Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner · Maintain a clean and safe work environment Requirements: · High School Diploma or equivalent · Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred · Comfortability with handling biological specimens · Ability to accurately identify specimens · Basic computer and data entry skills · Strong communication skills; written and verbal · Ability to work independently or within a team environment · Well organized and a high level of attention to detail · Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time · Must pass a standardized color blindness test Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
