EKG/Clerical Assistant

Utilize independent judgment and initiative while performing diversified secretarial, reception, office management, and coordination of activities relative to the operation of the department. Maintain excellence in customer service. Interactions may include the adult and older adult population, nurses, technicians, therapists, physicians, and advanced practice providers (APRN, PA). Performs EKG editing of reports and data entry of EKG charges for cardiology department. Performs other billing and data tracking and entry as needed.
Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- One year medical office experience.
- Demonstrated computer keyboard skills.
- Knowledge of office procedures, including the ability to type and use a variety of computer systems and office software packages (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint).
- Proficiency using standard office equipment, including telephone system, fax, scanner, and copier.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while performing simultaneous tasks.
- The ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, managers, administrators, healthcare providers, patients, program participants, and outside/community agency representatives.
