Ruppert Landscape is seeking a proven IT Manager for a new position to strengthen company-wide systems and processes. Headquartered near Gaithersburg, Maryland, Ruppert employees nearly 2,000 team members and is a fast-growing, privately-owned industry leader whose core functions including landscape construction and maintenance for commercial clients from Pennsylvania to Texas. Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the IT Manager will work to provide technical support and manage the IT infrastructure by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's IT systems, ensuring smooth functionality and proactive troubleshooting. They will also be responsible for managing the domestic IT team, coordinating projects, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. They will work closely with various departments as well as the offshore team to ensure the smooth operation of our technology systems and provide strategic guidance for future IT initiatives. This is a crucial role in our organization that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to align IT solutions with business objectives. Roles and Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and software systems. Plan and implement upgrades, installations, and migrations of hardware and software systems as needed. Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, and provide recommendations for the adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with the Director of Information Technology to develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business goals. Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees across the organization, resolving hardware and software issues promptly. Act as the escalation point for complex technical problems and ensure timely resolution. Utilize and expand on Zendesk to track and address user requests efficiently. Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network administrators, and help desk personnel. Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect the company's data and systems from unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of security measures, conduct regular audits, and implement improvements as needed. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) related to data privacy and security. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness. Evaluate vendor proposals, products, and services, making recommendations to the Director of Information Technology for procurement decisions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies. Proficiency in managing and supporting enterprise software systems, such as CRM, ERP, and project management tools. Experience in managing IT projects, including requirements gathering, vendor management, and implementation. Solid understanding of data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and ability to ensure compliance. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a detail-oriented approach to resolving technical issues. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a diverse IT team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, CISSP) are a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) as an IT Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a landscape or construction industry.
