The primary objective of this position is to serve as the liaison between partner agencies, Food Bank programs, and the Treasure Coast Food Bank by assisting agency recruitment, application, ongoing compliance, capacity evaluation, benefits outreach, and a general administration of the policies and guidelines of Treasure Coast Food Bank, Feeding America, and USDA as they relate to the partner agencies. End date May 31, 2024 Opportunity type Job Category Programs / Agency Relations / Clients Job responsibilities -Research community for gaps in service while recruiting partners in underserved areas to fill gaps identified -Assist agencies in the application process for becoming a partner agency -Work collaboratively with staff to coordinate food delivery, distribution, product orders, and allocations for programs and secure local produce sources for programs -Work closely with Site Leads to ensure accurate information about distributions and client needs are met. Provide needed resources, such as program supplies. Serve as a distribution Site Lead as needed -Conduct site visits to ensure food is being distributed safely and equitably -Conduct annual inspections of TCFB programs and partners to ensure policy and procedure compliance -Collect, track and input all agency/program monthly reports and statistical data for funders, granting agencies, partners, and the community. Acquire accurate data by maintaining electronic and hard copy records of program activities -Work with other TCFB departments and staff to place agencies in violation of TCFB regulations on hold -Review and update files, inspections, organizational data, program models, dashboard, key messaging, and the general case for support -Handle agency inquiries by telephone, visits, and correspondence creating mediums for better customer communication -Facilitate various Partner Agency trainings and workshops and collect client success stories -Assist in readiness for all audits conducted on TCFB regarding agency/program files and accounts -Assist in planning, promoting, and executing agency-related events, including partner retention, sponsorship, auction items, and distribution events -Conduct tours and presentations of prospective member agencies -Determine agency needs through surveys etc. -Develop and implement procedures for the annual gathering of the demographic data on agency clientele -Regularly inform all appropriate staff of any changes to agency/programs -Quarterly review agency monthly reports with a monthly pound-per-person spreadsheet -Review agencies with no Food Bank activity in three months -Participate in TCFB Disaster Team to ensure adequate use of agency and TCFB resources -Other duties as assigned Knowledge Skills and Abilities: -Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is preferred -Experience in compliance enforcement and inspections -Experience in food programs, food service, and food safety fields is a plus -Bilingual preferred -Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, including effective public speaking -Have the ability to manage time efficiently and work independently with minimum supervision -Able to work cooperatively with other staff, volunteers, and agency personnel -Attention to detail, accuracy, and the meeting of deadlines -Sound judgment and discretion -Ability to represent the Food Bank in a courteous, professional manner -Possession of a current Florida driver’s license, liability insurance, and a clean driving record -Access to reliable transportation At Treasure Coast Food Bank, we provide nutritious food to individuals and families throughout Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee counties in Florida. Our nonprofit organization understands the importance of supporting our community members and we are committed to alleviating hunger and its lasting effects in our region. We procure, store, and distribute food to a robust network of over 300 partner agencies. This community allows our mission to further its reach and put food and nonfood essentials in the hands of our neighbors when they need it. In addition to distributing food and nonfood essentials, we aim to eliminate hunger by addressing the root causes of this critical issue and posing solutions to those facing poverty.
