As a Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring medical equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals necessary for the efficient operation of the hospital. You will collaborate with department heads, medical staff, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining high-quality standards. Attention to detail, negotiation skills, and knowledge of medical terminology and regulations are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in procurement, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, equipment, and supplies.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and procurement systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to healthcare procurement (e.g., HIPAA, FDA regulations).
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.


This position's pay range is: $27.00 - $37.80 per hour, depending on education and experience.

Work Schedule:Full-Time

Location: Materials Management

Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increases, market adjustments, recognition bonuses and other forms of discretionary compensation may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
